Brifora: an AI design studio for small business — built by Weblevo in two months

Every small shop, café or salon runs into the same wall: you need a logo today, the printer wants "a vector file", the Instagram post needs a clean product photo without the kitchen table behind it — and a designer is a week away and a few hundred euros. Brifora is our answer to that wall.

Brifora — AI design studio homepage

brifora.app — the main page

It is a web service where a business owner uploads a picture, describes what they want in plain words, and gets a usable result in a minute. This article is about what we built, on what, and what we learned.

What Brifora does

Brifora (brifora.app) is a subscription service with three groups of tools.

Brifora tools — Create, Refine, For the brand

Three groups of tools: Create · Refine · For the brand

Create — a logo from a description, an image for a post or a banner, and (coming soon) a short video that brings a still picture to life.

Refine — remove the background, put the product in a new setting (15 ready scenes or your own words), upscale four times for print, extend a square photo into a wide banner, erase an unwanted object, and add a caption with fonts, curve, outline and label — the caption tool is free.

Brifora examples of work — logos and designs

Examples of work: logos, brand identities, product shots

For the brand — put the logo on a mug, a t-shirt, a bag or a cap (8 products, 7 colours) with a free editor for size, position and curvature; ask for four more images "in the same style"; convert a raster logo to a real SVG; and a brand kit — colours, font and style set once and applied to every result after.

Every tool is priced in credits, the monthly plans start at €9, and there is a free trial before any card is asked for. Prices are shown in one place and pulled from a single price table in the code, so there is no way for the site to show one number and charge another.

There is also Natasha: an on-site assistant drawn as a character, with a 45-question knowledge base and, for signed-in users, an AI chat. She answers in the owner's cloned voice — with a one-click opt-in, never automatically.

The stack

Next.js 16 on Vercel for the site and API  ·  Supabase (Postgres, auth, storage) for users, works and files  ·  Stripe for subscriptions and one-off credit packs, with Stripe as merchant of record so EU VAT is handled correctly  ·  fal.ai as the gateway to the generation models (image, vector, video and a text model for the assistant)  ·  Resend for transactional email  ·  ElevenLabs for the assistant's voice, generated once and stored as MP3 rather than synthesised live.

Two design decisions we are glad we made early:

Everything goes through a job queue

A video takes minutes, not seconds. Every generation is a job: the browser posts it, a webhook reports completion, a cron checks stragglers once a minute, and credits are refunded automatically if the provider fails. The user can close the tab and gets an email when the result is ready.

The model draws the blank, the code places the logo

For product mockups we do not ask the AI to "put this logo on a mug" — models mangle logos. The model renders an empty product; the logo is composited on top with exact geometry, so it stays crisp and editable.

The launch checklist nobody sees

The part of the project that took the most care was the least visible: terms of service, privacy policy and refund rules written for EU consumers and for AI-generated output, a lawyer's review before launch, a GDPR-safe font setup (no Google Fonts calls from the browser), two-factor auth on every dashboard, and a "launch mode" switch so the whole site could be tested live behind a "coming soon" banner and opened with one setting change — no redeploy on launch day.

Timeline

From the first commit to a launch-ready product: about two months, with one product owner and AI-assisted development. About forty tools, screens and integrations shipped in that time.

Brifora is our own product, so it is the most honest portfolio piece we have: we chose the stack, paid for the mistakes and kept what worked.

What we would do for you

If you want a subscription service, an AI-powered tool for your customers, or simply a fast site with payments that actually pass EU compliance, this is the kind of work we do. Start at weblevo.com or write to hello@weblevo.com.
